Everything US solar buyers, EPCs, and distributors need to know about sourcing from PVMAXX.
No. PVMAXX is a brand of Smart Solar Technologies (Smart Güneş Teknolojileri A.Ş.), a Turkish-owned, Turkish-operated company publicly listed on Borsa Istanbul (ticker: SMRTG) since March 2022.
There is no foreign entity of concern ownership, control, or board representation. The company is headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, with manufacturing facilities in Aliaga (Izmir) and Gebze (Kocaeli).
PVMAXX modules are eligible for IRA incentives that require non-FEOC sourcing. Ownership and governance documentation is available upon request.
Yes. PVMAXX modules are manufactured using non-Chinese polysilicon from verified suppliers. The entire production chain — from wafer to cell to module — takes place at Smart Solar Technologies facilities in Turkey.
Full supply chain documentation is maintained at every production step and is designed to meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) audit requirements under the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act.
Traceability documentation packages are available for project-level due diligence. Contact us@pvmaxx.com to request documentation.
No. Turkey is not subject to U.S. anti-dumping or countervailing duty orders on crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells and modules.
PVMAXX modules enter the U.S. market under standard Most Favored Nation (MFN) tariff rates, without the additional AD/CVD duties that apply to modules from China, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia.
This exemption applies to both complete modules and standalone solar cells exported from Turkey to the United States.
PVMAXX modules are manufactured at two facilities in Turkey:
Aliaga Integrated Plant (Izmir) — Houses wafer production (1,500 MW), cell production (2,200 MW), and module assembly (1,200 MW) under one roof. This is a fully vertically integrated facility covering the complete value chain from wafer to finished module.
Gebze Module Plant (Kocaeli) — Dedicated module assembly (1,200 MW) with OEM and contract manufacturing capability.
Combined capacity: 2.4 GW for modules, 2.2 GW for cells, 1.5 GW for wafers, across 54,800 m² of indoor production area. Learn more about our manufacturing →
PVMAXX offers two module families based on different cell technologies:
MonoPERC (P-type) — 10-busbar, M10 half-cut cells. Power range: 410–605 Wp. Available in monofacial and bifacial configurations across 108, 120, 132, 144, and 156-cell layouts. 12-year product warranty + 25-year linear performance warranty.
N-TOPCon G12R (N-type) — 16-busbar, G12R half-cut cells. Power range: 500–635 Wp. Bifacial only, in 108, 120, and 132-cell layouts. Lower degradation (0.40% annual vs 0.55% for PERC), higher bifacial gain (up to 30%), and a longer 30-year linear performance warranty with 87.4% end-of-life guarantee.
All modules are manufactured using non-Chinese polysilicon with full supply chain traceability. View product specifications →
Yes. Both MonoPERC and N-TOPCon module families are available in bifacial configurations.
MonoPERC bifacial (M10, transparent backsheet) — Up to 25% additional energy yield from rear-side irradiance. Available in all power classes from 410W to 605W.
N-TOPCon G12R bifacial (dual glass) — Up to 30% additional energy yield with over 80% cell bifaciality. Lower temperature coefficient and better low-light performance than PERC. Available from 500W to 635W.
Bifacial modules are ideal for utility-scale ground-mount installations, agrivoltaic applications, and snow-prone regions where ground-reflected light increases rear-side energy production. Download bifacial datasheets →

• 12-year product warranty (materials and workmanship)
• 25-year linear performance warranty
• First-year degradation: maximum 2.0%
• Annual degradation: maximum 0.55%
• Guaranteed minimum output at year 25: 84.8% of rated power
N-TOPCon modules:
• 15-year product warranty (materials and workmanship)
• 30-year linear performance warranty
• First-year degradation: maximum 1.0%
• Annual degradation: maximum 0.40%

US module assemblers using PVMAXX cells manufactured in Turkey can qualify for the IRA Section 45X module production tax credit of $0.07 per watt.
Important distinctions:
• The module credit ($0.07/Wp) applies to modules assembled in the United States, regardless of cell origin — as long as the cells are non-FEOC. PVMAXX cells qualify.
• The cell credit ($0.04/Wp) requires cells to be manufactured in the United States and does not apply to imported cells.
PVMAXX offers OEM cell supply programs for US assemblers, including PERC (M10, 10BB) and N-TOPCon (G12R, 16BB) cells with full FEOC compliance documentation. Learn about partnership models →
